A detailed explanation of how a business intends to address mental health within its workplace.
At Bloomwise, we provide our customers with a Mental Health Plan™. Our Mental Health Plan™ is a detailed explanation of how a business intends to address mental health problems.
This is a proactive way of making business owners and managers think ahead and prepare for ways of addressing mental health challenges. A Mental Health Plan™ will include specific objectives, overall goals, and a vision statement to help you make mental health actionable within your workplace . It is a living document that will be reviewed over time and used to determine effective mental health growth.
Our aim at Bloomwise is to not only improve the mental health of employees, but to also bring significant economic value to small businesses by tapping into the causes of presenteeism, absenteeism, sick leave, and high staff turnover, which loses employers between £33-£42 billion every year according to research from Centre for Mental Health.
Bloomwise's Mental Health Plan™ is based on the Stevenson Farmer Report.
The Stevenson Farmer Report is an independent review commissioned by the Prime Minister in 2017 which looked at the extent of poor mental health at work and the effect this was having on our workforce and economy. It looked at how employers can better support the mental health of all people currently in employment including those with mental health problems or poor well-being to remain in and thrive through work.
The report sets out six “mental health core standards”. These six core standards make up the backbone of our Mental Health Plan.
